Frequently Asked Questions

A few quick answers to common questions. If you’re wondering about something that isn’t listed here, feel free to email thewrinklewitch@gmail.com.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first visit includes a short intake and skin consultation so we can talk through your goals, current routine, and any sensitivities. From there, the treatment is fully customized: you'll get cleansed, treated, masked, and moisturized based on what your skin needs that day.

How should I prepare for a facial?

If you use strong actives like retinoids, exfoliating acids, or prescription topicals, it’s usually best to pause them for a few days before your appointment. Arrive with a bare face if possible, and bring a list of any products or medications you’re using on your skin.

Can you work with sensitive or reactive skin?

Yes. A big focus at The Wrinkle Witch is supporting the skin barrier. We can absolutely work with redness, sensitivity, or "product-reactive" skin, and we'll choose gentle, calming treatments to keep your skin comfortable.

What if I’m breaking out or on acne medication?

Breakouts are welcome here, however, Acutane and other isotretinoin-based medications may require a pause in facials until your skin is stable. Please mention any acne medications you're using in your intake so we can tailor the treatment plan accordingly.

How often should I get a facial?

It depends on your goals and budget, but most clients see great results with visits every 3–4 weeks. We can talk through a realistic plan during your appointment so your skin sees progress without overwhelming your schedule.

Do you offer extractions? Are they painful?

Yes, extractions can be included when appropriate. The goal is always to be as gentle and precise as possible, never aggressive. If something feels too intense, you're encouraged to say so and we'll adjust.

Can I book if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

In most cases, yes. We'll simply avoid certain ingredients and treatment types. Please mention pregnancy or breastfeeding in your intake so the service can be tailored safely for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

Because appointments are reserved just for you, cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a fee. Life happens - if something urgent comes up, please reach out as soon as you can.

Are you actually a witch?

No, not really. At The Wrinkle Witch, we simply believe that great skincare should feel like magic.
